Other verb books are better

There's nothing really wrong with the book. It just isn't quite as good as other similarly priced (at Amazon) Spanish verb books like Barron's 501 Spanish Verbs or The Big Red Book of Spanish Verbs. What does it have? About 20 pages of introductory material dealing with various verb tenses, moods and special usages, indexes of Spanish infinitives and English verbs, and the 501 pages of full conjugations with one verb per page.
What is it missing that other books have?
1. An indication of whether the verb is regular or how it is irregular. It would be nice to tell at a glance if it follows a common pattern or is completely irregular.
2. Extra pages on the most important verbs. The two other books I mentioned have an extra page or two on each of the "55 Essential Verbs" or the "Top 50 Verbs".
3. An index of irregular forms. What happens if you forget that yendo is a form of ir? You won't find it in an index in this book as you would in the other two.
4. The auxiliary verb haber. It is used on every page as part of the compound tenses, but doesn't get a page of its own.
5. More verbs following the patterns of ones in the book. Do you want abanicar (to fan)? Well, it's not in the top 501 verbs but the other two books I mentioned have it in indexes of over 2000 verbs referring to other ones with the same conjugation patterns. This book doesn't.
This book does have one feature I really like. The normal and reflexive forms are included on the same page rather than being on different pages or just ignored. For example aburrir and aburrirse are together. If the reflexive form is more common it is the one that is conjugated. This gives a few extra verbs and shows some less common reflexive verbs that I hadn't seen before
The other two books have a few dollars higher list price, but their Amazon prices are less than a dollar more right now. It's well worth an extra buck for the extra material.

Great resource

This book is an excellent resource for looking up verbs and verb tenses in Spanish. I refer to it a lot. It also gives several examples of how each verb is used in a sentence. You can also do a reverse verb look up with the verb glossary in the back. The only problem I have is that occasionally I need a verb that is not listed in the book. Not all of the frequently used verbs are there.

Not really useful on my phone's Kindle - returned it

It was difficult to rate this - I purchased it and returned it within an hour after realizing that it was just not going to be useful from my the Kindle on my Droid Bionic.
I was looking for a more handy way to carry around a reference book of Spanish verb conjugations on an upcoming trip to Mexico. I'm not incapable in Spanish, but I'm not fluent, either, so it's nice to have the help when I need it. I've long owned and happily used Kendris' _501 Spanish Verbs_, but the thick tome is not something that I want to schlep around on vacation. I figured, "Hey, the Kindle on my phone is a perfect way to carry what I need," so, I jumped on Amazon and saw Garcia Loaeza's _501 Essential Spanish Verbs_ and checked out the online preview. It looked good (though it was hard to tell - it wasn't a particularly complete preview), and the price was lower than the Kendris book, so I figured I'd take a shot.
I bought the book and downloaded it. Glancing through it, I was happy to see that the verb conjugation pages seemed pretty useful as were the intro pages discussing the various tenses. The book was perfectly workmanlike: the information was reasonably arranged and seemed useful. There were flies in the ointment, though: many of the pages that I'd need to see and read immediately were set up as tables - they _could_ be enlarged and zoomed on my Droid's Kindle, but doing so and maneuvering them around just wasn't going to work for an on-the-fly reference. And there were no hotlinks from various indexed verbs to the pages of their conjugations - you want to try flipping through a 560-page book on your phone so that you can find a verb that you need right now? I don't. (Edited: Norton's inexpensive _Spanish Verb Conjugations_, while only having 160 verbs and very little bonus material, works tremendously well on my phone's Kindle.)
So, I promptly returned the book. It was worth a shot. I'd buy this one in hard copy if I needed it - it didn't have quite as much useful bonus material as does the Kendris book, but it was perfectly serviceable.
